About

Passing on the love of music to others is very important to me. Music can enrich our lives so much, and I hate to see people go without understanding it and fully enjoying it. I can teach all genres, and I tailor my teaching style to your specific goals. For example, I have taught seniors to play praise music, adults to play pop songs, and some students to learn music theory and harmony only. I like special challenges! The majority of my studio are children that I teach in the traditional manner. The books I use have a solid mix of styles.

Fun is the key to learning to an instrument, so I always try and keep it fun. I have a Bachelor of Music degree from Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and Master of Music degree from Indiana University. I have been playing piano since the 2nd grade, and I am 36 now.

I have taught 20+ students a week for 10+ years. My studio is comprised of students of all ages (5 to seniors). No age is too old! I use the Faber books, and I teach the traditional method of learning to read notes. I also use other supplementary materials: theory books, technique books, solos, and more. There are 2 recitals a year if you wish to participate.
